Mary Louise Loomis, nee Hildreth, age 77, of Troy, born May 29, 1945 in East St. Louis, Ill., passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, July 26, 2022.

Mary was a 1963 graduate of Collinsville High School, where she was a cheerleader and Football Queen. She had worked as an office manager at various medical offices in the Metro-east. Mary enjoyed interior decorating, home design and spending time at the beach. She enjoyed a good glass of wine, the perfect margarita, going out to eat, and the company of good friends and family. Usually the life of the party, Mary fiercely loved her family and pets, and was the best grandmother anyone could hope for.

She was preceded in death by her brother Harry C. Hildreth and grandson Zeke Bielby.

She is survived by her children Marcy (John) Ansley of Troy, Tammy (Brad) Watson of Chicago, Linda Anderson of Fairview Heights, Cindy (Mike) Ambry of Shiloh, and Jeff Loomis of St. Louis; grandchildren Megan (Nicholas) Blackwell, Matthew Ansley, Joshua (Richard) Plew, Jordan Plew, Deloris Watson, Elliot Anderson, Landon Loomis, and Logan Loomis. Mary was the proud Mimi to great-granddaughters Ansley and Macy. Also surviving are nephews Frank (DeDe) Rudis of Louisiana, Harry Chad Hildreth of Collinsville, and niece Cathy (Steve) McCammack of Collinsville.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 – 11 am, Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 511 S. Main St., Troy, Ill., with a Funeral Mass to begin at 11 am, at the church. Luncheon will be held at church following the Mass. Interment will be held at a later date.
