Mary Ann Winans, age 81, born September 15, 1941 in O'Fallon, Illinois, to Bernard Joseph Henry & Dorothy Jane, nee Hull, Henry, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2022.
As a lifelong resident of O'Fallon, Mary Ann was the second of eleven children born to the Henry household. She attended St. Clare Grade School and graduated from OTHS in 1959. Mary Ann worked at Prairie Farms Dairy for 13 years as a bookkeeper, and then for the Dept. of Agriculture for 20 years until her retirement. She enjoyed attending Cardinals' baseball games and playing cards with her friends, making homemade greeting cards and scrapbooking, and gardening. She was active at St. Clare Parish where she served on the Altar Sodality, the Funeral Luncheon committee, and participated with the St. Clare Seniors. Mary Ann loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her son Jeffrey Winans; her parents; and her siblings John Henry, Robert Henry, Lawrence Henry, and Richard Henry; brother-in law Ed Wilson.
Surviving are her husband Roy C. Winans, whom she married March 31, 1962; daughter Lisa (Jeff) Poignee; daughter-in-law Lori Winans; grandsons Brandon and Nathan Poignee; and granddaughters Mariah (Jermaine) Johnson and Gabrielle Winans; great- grandchildren Amyah and Kaiden Winans.
Also surviving are her siblings Gerald Henry, Janet Wilson, Jean (Doug) Karius, Patricia (Don) Gillum, Carol (Jerry) Carroll, Michael (Gwen) Henry; sisters-in-law Sherri Henry, Sheila Henry, and LuAnn Henry; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am, Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church, 1411 Cross St., Shiloh. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Shiloh. Following the burial, a luncheon/reception will be held at St. Clare Church fellowship hall.
