Mickey Lee Vipond, age 83, resident of Cedarhurst of Shiloh, born January 1, 1936 in Aurora, Ill., passed away Saturday morning, January 26, 2019 at her home in Shiloh, Ill.

The daughter of Lyman Sinclair Harvey and Mary Lydia Catherine, nee Martin, Harvey, Mickey grew up in Aurora, Ill. She spent most of her life in the northern Illinois area. She worked for several years as a secretary at Stateville Correctional Center near Joliet, Berol Corporation in Rockford, Ill., and subsequently retired as the Director of the Pecatonica (Illinois) Library. Mickey was a lifelong Cubs fan and an avid reader and enjoyed her role as "Gaga" to her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Ronald Vipond; her parents, her sisters Ruth Harvey Cahill and Laura Stubblefield; nephews Raymond 'Buddy' Cahill, Richard 'Rick' Cahill, and Dale Harvey; and her son-in-law Richard Doubek.

Surviving are her three children Kimberley Nagel of Palatine, Ill., Drew Nagel of Rockford, Ill., and Pamela (Nick) Fonti of Freeburg, Ill.; four grandchildren David (Renee) Nagel, Brett Nagel, Matthew (Katie Trapani) Nagel, and Mickayla Fonti; her brother Raymond (Darlene) Harvey of Oswego, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews.

As per Mickey's request, no formal services will be held.
