Mildred Irene Gerardi, nee Weisbrod, age 97, lifelong resident of O'Fallon, born July 3, 1919 in O'Fallon, Ill., the youngest of four, passed away Friday night, October 7, 2016 at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, Illinois.

Mildred was born and raised in O'Fallon and was a lifelong parishioner at Saint Clare Catholic Church. She had previously worked as a stock clerk at Famous Barr. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and spending time with her family. She absolutely loved life.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Adolph Frank Gerardi, whom she married August 31, 1935, and who died June 17, 2006; her parents August and Mary, nee Yaeger, Weisbrod; her brothers Raymond and Earl Weisbrod, and sister Lucille Smith.

Surviving are her daughters Marciana (Michael) Donelson of Troy, Ill., and Mariana (Vonn) Leatherman of Houston, Tex.; grandchildren Brian Donelson, Steven (Juanita) Donelson, Kevin (Cynthia) Donelson, Jess Leatherman, and Sara (Blake) Arnold; great-grandchildren Kourtnie (Brian) Westerheide, Austin, Emma, and Addison Donelson, and Lola and Evie Arnold; and two great-great grandchildren Sam and Aubrey Westerheide.

Memorial donations are suggested to St. Clare Catholic Church Building Fund or in the form of Masses.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 1:00 – 2:00 pm, Monday, October 10, 2016 at St. Clare Catholic Church, 1411 Cross Street, Shiloh, Illinois.

Funeral: Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 2:00 pm, Monday, October 10, 2016, at the church, with Rev. James Deiters presiding. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Shiloh, Illinois.
