Nancy M. Drury, nee West, age 77, of Fairview Heights, Ill., born April 28, 1931 in Leavenworth, Kan. passed away Tuesday evening, February 17, 2009.
Mrs. Drury moved to the area in 1964 when her husband was transferred to Scott AFB. Following his military retirement, they remained in the area, raising their three sons in O'Fallon. Nancy attended Cornerstone Christian Church in Shiloh. Although she enjoyed pottery and ceramics, nothing could compare to the joy she felt when she was with her grandchildren and great grandchild. She loved her family and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Drury, Senior Master Sergeant, USAF (retired), her son Randall Drury, three brothers Franklin West, Michael Pinkham, and Lewis West; and sister Thelma Davis.
She is survived by her two sons, Bruce (Rebecca) Drury of O'Fallon, Michael (Cindy) Drury of O'Fallon; grandchildren Christopher (Julie) Drury, Nicole Drury, Tim Drury, Lyndsy Drury, Alex (fiancee Casara Heaton) Drury, Paul Drury, and Jennifer (Chris) White; her very special great grandson Tyler, and one more on the way; and her former daughter-in-law Carla (Jim) Howard of O'Fallon.
In honor of Mrs. Drury's life, memorial donations may be made to O'Fallon Township High School Endowment Fund or American Diabetes Association and will be accepted at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended to the family by clicking the tab above.
Visitation: Friends may call from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 19, 2009 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, 102 West Washington St., O'Fallon.
Funeral: Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 20, 2009 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, with Pastor Ian Stamps of Cornerstone Christian Church officiating. Burial of cremated remains will be at O'Fallon City Cemetery.
