Norma Frances Seipp, nee Siegel, age 81, of O'Fallon, born January 29, 1930 to John W. and Rose, nee Loyet, Siegel, in Blackjack, (near Troy) Ill., entered into her eternal home on Monday morning, May 30, 2011 in her home.
Norma attended McCray-Dewey High School in Troy and married L.J. "Dick" Seipp on May 13, 1948 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Blackjack, Ill. Together they raised five children. Norma was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church and a member of Legion of Mary. She enjoyed quilting, especially making vestments for priests, and baking. She and her husband owned and operated JMJ Sanitation in O'Fallon from 1961 – 1990. Norma lovingly cared for her parents in her home from 1991 until their deaths in 1993. She then worked as a receptionist at Meredith Memorial Home in Belleville, until her retirement. Norma was a prayerful woman, a loving homemaker, and a devoted wife and mother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother-in-law Dorothy and Douglas Metz; and brother and sister-in-law Leroy and Cathy Siegel.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, L.J. "Dick" Seipp, of O'Fallon; her children Stephen of Collinsville, Craig of Belleville, Mark of Lewisville, Tex., Barbara Ann of O'Fallon, and Robb (Pam) of Phoenix, Ariz.; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; and her brother Darwin (Mary) Siegel of Gilbert, Ariz.; and a large, loving extended family of nieces, nephews, in-laws, and a host of friends.
Memorials are suggested in the form of Masses to St. Clare Catholic Church.
Visitation: Friends may call from 4 – 8 pm, Friday, June 3, 2011 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, 102 W. Washington Street, O'Fallon, Ill. The Rosary will be recited by her son, Craig, at 7:30 pm.
Funeral: The Rosary will be recited again at 9:00 am, Saturday, at the funeral home. Funeral Procession will depart the funeral home at 9:45 am for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am, Saturday, June 4, 2011 at St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 1411 Cross Street, Shiloh, Ill., with Rev. James Deiters presiding. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Shiloh. A luncheon will be served for family and friends immediately following the graveside services.
