Patricia Ann Chamberland, age 78, of O'Fallon, born March 18, 1932 in Tipp City, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Belleville, Ill.

Pat was a dedicated fan of all sports, especially those including her kids and grandkids. She loved Cardinals baseball and Ohio State football and was known for her great cooking. Pat attended Grant Hospital Nursing School in Columbus, Ohio. She was a long-time faithful member of St. Clare Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents William J. Tippy and Irene I., nee Alspaugh, Tippy.

Surviving are her husband John Albert Chamberland, whom she married August 16, 1952; her five children, Suzanne A. Chamberland of O'Fallon, Leslie A. (Donald) Kirkwood of Cahokia, Michael A. Chamberland of Swansea, Jeffrey A. (Denise Fee) Chamberland of O'Fallon, and David A. Chamberland of O'Fallon; four grandsons whom she dearly loved, Aaron (Angel) Kirkwood, Christopher (Theresa) Kirkwood, Justin Chamberland, and Brandon Chamberland; her precious great grandchildren Jade, Chevy, Elizabeth, and Tyler Kirkwood; former daughter-in-law Sherrie Haber and numerous cousins and friends.

Memorial donations are not necessary.

Visitation: Friends may call at St. Clare Catholic Church, 1411 Cross Street, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 3, 2010.

Funeral: Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 4, 2010 at St. Clare Catholic Church with Rev. James Deiters presiding. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Shiloh, Ill.
