Paul Leo Kjosa, age 54, of O'Fallon, Ill., was born September 8, 1968 in Rugby, N.D. to Robert and Darlene Kjosa. Paul passed away on October 1, 2022 at home surrounded by his family.

Paul graduated from Leeds High School, Leeds, N.D., in 1987. He was a member of Future Farmers of America (FFA), played trumpet in high school and played Jr. Varsity Football. Paul graduated from Lake Region State College with Associates in Simulation Technology and lived in various locations including North Dakota, Washington, Minnesota, Alabama and Illinois.

Paul was married to Elaine Jacobson and later separated. They had two wonderful children, Nicolas and Morgan, both of Illinois. He enjoyed watching movies and the Minnesota Vikings and playing card games with his children. He also enjoyed spending time with friends from the VFW and celebrating Fourth of July in North Dakota.

Paul is survived by his children Nicolas and Morgan, sister Sandra Austin, sister Connie (Dale) Elverud, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Darlene Kjosa, brother Robert, Jr., and sister-in-law Sharlene Kjosa, niece Chelsie Austin, grandparents Jack (Louise) McGarvey and Gladwin (Garnet) Kjosa.

Visitation will begin at 5 pm, Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at Blessed Savior Lutheran Church, 1205 N. Lincoln, O'Fallon, Ill., with a service to follow, beginning at 7 pm, with Pastor Vern Lintvedt officiating. Graveside services and burial will be in Leeds, N.D.
