Philip Parker "Butch" Elliott, age 66, of Troy, born February 28, 1948 in East St. Louis, to Theodore and Mary Alice, nee Parker, Elliott, passed away June 17, 2014 at Barnes Hospital, St. Louis, Mo.
A lifelong organic farmer, Butch operated the family farm "Nature's Way Farm," raising sheep and chickens, keeping bees, and growing organic vegetables. He was a US Navy veteran and member of Highland Masonic Lodge. Butch retired from Granite City Steel after 38 years of employment. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, hunting, and gardening. Butch was a devoted, caring, and ever-supportive father to his four sons. His nine grandchildren brought much joy to their "Grandpa Farmer."
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother in law Cedric Jones.
Surviving are his beloved wife Sherri, nee Cobb, Elliott, of Troy; sons Christopher Elliott of Shiloh, Philip (Jennifer) Elliott of Houston, Tex., Nathan (Ronnette) Elliott of Moweaqua, Ill., and Daniel (Jennie) Elliott of Troy; his much loved grandchildren Ethan, Elijah, Elaine, Grace, Graham, Parker, Cooper, Noble, and Paisley; sisters Nancy Jones of Red Bud, Ill., Mary Kay Elliott of Belleville, Ill., and Jacqueline "Susie" Donahue of Lebanon; and sister-in-law Elizabeth Cobb of O'Fallon.
Memorial donations in memory of Butch are suggested to Shriner's Hospital or American Liver Foundation.

Funeral: Funeral Service will begin at 7:00 pm, Friday, June 20, 2014 at the funeral home with Rev. Kurt Stone officiating.
