Phyllis "Toots" Rosaline Altenthal, nee Howard, age 90, of Shiloh, Ill., formerly of Montgomery City, Mo., born March 15, 1926 in Sikeston, Mo., passed away, June 18, 2016.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Altenthal; her parents Henderson and Rosa Lee, nee Moser, Howard, and her brothers Henderson Howard Jr. and Fredrick Donald Howard.
Surviving are her daughter Pamela G. Jackson, brother, Dennis Howard, sisters Mabel Hankins, Kathryn Curliss, Clarice Ewing; grandsons Kirk Hagerman and Troy Jackson, and two great-grandchildren Cameron and Reece Jackson.
She previously worked as a claims supervisor for Hartford Insurance Group.
Memorial donations are suggested to American Lung Association http://www.lung.org/ or Alzheimers Association http://www.alz.org/.
No local services will be held. Private family committal service will take place, and her cremated remains will be buried alongside her husband at Cape Girardeau Memorial Cemetery, Cape Girardeau, Mo.
