Ralph Louis Barber, age 92, of Shiloh, born January 1, 1922 in East St. Louis, Ill., passed away on Monday, August 4, 2014 at home, surrounded by his family.
A Navy veteran of World War II, Mr. Barber was a member of Polish American War Veterans in Caseyville, and was retired from Brinks Security. He was loved and respected by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as he was an instrumental part of their lives.
He deeply mourned the death of his beloved wife Helen, nee Elceser, Barber, whom he married October 5, 1940, and who passed away in 2009. He was also preceded in death by his children Ronald Barber and Kathy (Richard) Badgley; his grandson Brian Barber; and his parents Ralph Harold Barber and Pearl Margaret Tourville.
Surviving are his grandchildren Christopher (Lisa) Barber of Shiloh, Bruce Badgley of Kissimmee, Fla., and Renee Badgley of Belleville; his daughter-in-law Muriel Barber of Shiloh; and his much loved great-grandchildren Tristan, Gabriel, Hannah, and Emma Barber; Phoenix and Rose Barber, and Fayrn Badgley.
As per Mr. Barber's request, no formal services will be held.
