Randal Duane Yancey, 61, formerly of Jefferson City, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 15, 2021 at his home in O'Fallon, Illinois. He was born on March 8, 1960, in Ironton, a son of Henry B. Yancey and the late Peggy (Thurman) Yancey. He was united in marriage to Melody Holcomb on June 10, 2006 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
He was a 1978 graduate of Arcadia Valley High School in Ironton and went on to earn a degree from Park University in Parkville, Missouri. In 1992 he began his career with the Missouri Department of Social Services and retired in January of 2017. He was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and the St. Louis Cardinals. Randal enjoyed golfing, traveling and making memories with family and friends.
Randal is survived by his wife; Melody of O'Fallon, Illinois; father, Henry "Bud" Yancey (Mary) of Ironton; children, Whitney Long (Tim) of New Bloomfield, Joshua Yancey of Okinawa, Japan, Brett Rodhouse of Columbia, Kyle Rodhouse of Key West, Florida; brother-in-law, Michael Holcomb (Jennifer) of Moberly; sister-in-law, Pat Eastman (Rick); and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends will be received from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Monday, November 22, 2021 at
Houser-Millard Funeral Directors, 2613 West Main Street, Jefferson City, Missouri 65109.
Memorial donations are suggested to the Siteman Cancer Center, St. Louis, Missouri.
The Yancey family was assisted locally by Wolfersberger Funeral Home, O'Fallon, Illinois.
