Raymond E. Lane, Sr., age 81, of Lebanon, Ill., born September 9, 1928 in Madison, Ill., passed away on June 13, 2010.

Mr. Lane was a retired auto mechanic. He enjoyed fishing, camping, spending time with his family, and appreciating the simpler things in life. He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose, Litchfield, Ill., and O'Fallon Sportsmen's Club.

He was preceded in death by his son Raymond E. Lane, Jr., and his parents Eugene and Mable, nee Stephens, Lane.

He is survived by his wife Linda, nee O'Connor, (Gass) Lane, of Lebanon, whom he married August 4, 1978; son David Lane, of Kalamazoo, Mich., daughter Alane (Brad) Kolling, of Jacksonville, Fla., stepsons Rick (Amy) Gass of Lebanon, Randy (Tina) Gass of Orlando, Fla., Ron (Chris) Gass of Shiloh, Roger (Kathryn) Gass of Troy, Ill.; stepdaughter Lori (Don) Gendron of O'Fallon, Ill.; and 18 grandchildren.

Memorial donations are suggested to Alzheimer's Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 17, 2010 and from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 18, 2010 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, 102 W. Washington St., O'Fallon, Ill.

Funeral: 11:00 a.m., June 18, 2010 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William J. Hitpas officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Shiloh, Ill.
