He could light up a room with his smile bringing joy to so many.
Robert F. Shannon IV (“B-Man” or “B”), of Lebanon, Illinois, born February 01, 1991, in Belleville, Illinois, passed away 08 October 2026 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, surrounded by his family.
Robert was a fun-loving little guy. He could light up a room with his smile bringing joy to so many. He absolutely loved baseball and the St. Louis Cardinals always gesturing baseball was in his heart. His other interests included family gatherings, Christmas, birthday parties, and watching Barney videos. He loved the outdoors camping, fishing, Drive-in movies, and 4th of July fireworks. Robert thoroughly enjoyed attending the Day Program at Community Link in Breese, IL, where he was treated so well for many years.
He was preceded in death by his nephew Hudson Schwarz.
Survivors with fond memories of Robert include his parents, Robert F. Shannon III (Judy) of Lebanon, IL; and his sister, Katie (Carl) Schwarz of Belleville, IL as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Special thanks to the aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who acted as Robert’s caregivers over the years. This especially applies to Joyce Vinyard who was Robert’s personal aide, caregiver, and life-long family friend.
