Roberta Kimball, nee Wittenbrink, age 78, of O'Fallon, born Jan. 31, 1932 in Chester, Ill. passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at her home.
Mrs. Kimball moved with her husband to O'Fallon in 1967. She worked at Scott AFB Commissary as a food handler for many years until 1998.
She was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Eva (nee Asbury) Wittenbrink, son-in-law Carmen Strom; and grandchildren John Walter Kimball and Marie Strom Williams, and several siblings.
Mrs. Kimball is survived by her husband, Raymond Kimball, whom she married September 22, 1950; children John (Toni) Kimball of Houston, Tex., Robert (Mary) Kimball of Chatham, Ill., Rhonda Strom of Shiloh, Ill., and Ronald (Carol) Kimball of Jefferson City, Mo.
Also surviving are grandchildren, Keri Haste, Jason Kimball, Christopher Kimball, Katherine Kimball, Ryan Strom, Lucas Strom, Christina Freeman, and Mallory Schellman; great-grandchildren, Alexis and Hunter Kimball, Tyler and Haley Haste, Sebastian, Kayleigh, and Alex Williams, and Madeline Freeman. Also surviving are brothers Howard (Joanne) Wittenbrink and Earl (Carol) Wittenbrink, sisters Lenora Wilson, Gail Beale, Patricia Thornsberry, Velda Moore, and Barbara Ann Martin; sister-in-law Lorraine Wittenbrink, and former son-in-law David Williams.
Memorial Donations in honor of Mrs. Kimball are suggested to Family Hospice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
Visitation: Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., Thursday March 11, 2010 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, 102 W. Washington St., O'Fallon.
Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m., at the funeral home, with Pastor Freda Snyder officiating. Interment will follow at O'Fallon City Cemetery.
