Roger Eric Rader, age 84, of O'Fallon, Ill., was born October 12, 1939 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. He passed away peacefully on April 21, 2024 at his residence at Keystone Place in O'Fallon, Ill.
Roger attended schools in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania and earned his Electrical Engineering degree from Lafayette College in Easton, Penn. Roger served in the Army from 1960-63, as a radio operator and signal analyst. He had a long, successful career with Pfizer. He moved to O'Fallon in 1979 and was promoted to Pfizer's plant manager in East St. Louis until his retirement in 1999. Roger was a faithful member of Faith Lutheran Church, where he was an intrinsic part of their music program and played trombone in the church brass band. Roger enjoyed socializing with anyone who would listen, and valued his friendships-both young and old.
He was preceded in death by his wife Karen, nee Rice, Rader; his son Eric; sister Janice; and parents Wilbur and Muriel, nee Weaver, Rader.
Surviving are his son Gary of O'Fallon; his granddaughter Kairi Rader; and many friends.

Visitation will begin at Noon, Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Faith Lutheran Church, 520 E. Highway 50, O'Fallon, followed by a Memorial Service at 1 pm, at the church, with Rev. Candice Wassell officiating. The US Army will render honors. Services entrusted to Wolfersberger Funeral Home, O'Fallon
