Roscoe L. Woodward, age 87, of Fairview Heights, Ill., born October 8, 1933, passed away at home on June 18, 2021.

Roscoe served 26 years in the US Air Force, retiring as Senior Master Sergeant in 1979 from Scott AFB where he had served as Superintendent in Logistics Planning with the 375 ^th CAM.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Teruko, who passed away one year prior; parents Minor M. and Hortense E., nee Ringo, Woodward; and three siblings.

He is survived by his dear friend, who was like a daughter to him, Lina Taniguchi; and other helpful friends and caretakers including John Bartis and Carol Fultz; his siblings Louise, Robert, Shirley, and Ed.

A visitation will be held beginning at 9 am, Monday, July 12, 2021 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, O'Fallon. Procession will depart promptly at 9:45 am, for a Graveside Service with military honors to be held at 10:30 am, at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis.
