Rose Marie Brennan, nee Kavaliunas, age 86, of O'Fallon, Ill., born November 24, 1936 in Collinsville, Ill., passed away July 30, 2023 in Lebanon, Ill.
Rose grew up in Collinsville and graduated from Collinsville High School in 1954. She married Thomas P. Brennan, Sr. on October 22, 1955 at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Collinsville. Upon moving to O'Fallon, she was one of the founding members of the O'Fallon Booster Club and a coach for its softball teams. She also loved animals, especially dogs - breeding both St. Bernards and cocker spaniels. She had several fur babies waiting for her across the Rainbow Bridge: Slim, Shady, Hopper, Cricket, Wacker, Tina, Peaches, Lupa, Aris, Diti, Bronson, Cindy, Charcoal, and Bruiser. She was also involved in restoring the Rock Springs Cemetery. She enjoyed antiques, flea markets, reading, holidays with family, and playing cards with her "Card Club." She was a devout parishioner at St. Clare Catholic Church where she volunteered as a church sacristan and worked in the church flower and vegetable gardens. She was also a librarian at St. Clare Catholic School from 1981-2000. After retirement, she spent her time working in her flower beds during the day and watching the St. Louis Cardinals at night.
She was preceded in death by her parents George and Adele, nee Musso, Kavaliunas; her sons Thomas P. Brennan, Jr. and John J. Brennan; grandson Jay Ryan Brennan; brother and sister-in-law George (Mary Ellen) Kavaliunas, and sister Mary Ann Geno.
Surviving are her husband Thomas P. Brennan, Sr., of O'Fallon; son Kevin Michael "Mike" (Julia) Brennan of Collinsville; daughter Kathleen Teresa (Brian) O'Neill of Cunningham, Ky., sister Judy (Richard) McKenna of Cedar Hill, Mo.; grandchildren Kevin Michael (Yazmin) Brennan II, Courtney Suzanne (Brian) Toti; Alicia Kathleen (Phillip Wamble) Brennan, Thomas Patrick (Michelle) Brennan III, Kayla Ann (Josh) Boyer, Jayna Marie (Zach Cowell) Brennan, Carleigh Rose O'Neill, and Brennan Joseph O'Neill; great-grandchildren Adilene, Helen, and Elijah Brennan; Zachary Brennan, Erik, Piper & Charli Evans, Ruby, Ben & Jack Toti; Chelsea ("CJ") Winkeler, Madison Blissenbach, Baynee Brennan; Thomas IV, Rosalie and Shawn Brennan and Corwin Pherson; Lydia, Judah, Titus and Thea Boyer; Lane, Ella and Ava Cowell; and one great-great grandchild Kinsley Evans.

Visitation: 9 – 11 am, Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at St. Clare Catholic Church, 1411 Cross St., Shiloh.
Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 am, at the church, with Rev. Jim Deiters presiding. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Shiloh, Ill.
