Ruth Ann Zimmerman, nee Bauman, age 81, of Shiloh, Ill., born June 2, 1936 in Highland, Ill., passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Cedar Ridge Health & Rehab, Lebanon, Ill.

Ruth graduated from Notre Dame Academy in Belleville. She worked for many years in the cafeteria at Shiloh Elementary School, where she was well-liked by the students. She was a member of the Shiloh Schatzes Red Hat club, a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, and a faithful parishioner at Corpus Christi Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents Emil and Margaret, nee Eilering, Bauman; her step-mother Matilda, nee Netemeyer, Bauman; her husband Ronald Zimmerman; her daughter Kimberly K. Anderson; her sister Geraldine Bauman, and her cat Boots.

Surviving are her three children Wade of Shiloh, Robert (Laura) of Lebanon, and Rebecca of Taiwan; her grandchildren Seth Helms, Trey Anderson, and Robert Zimmerman; two great-grandchildren Abby and Connor; and her siblings Jim Bauman, Marcel Bauman, Gerald Bauman, Phyllis Adams, Louis Bauman, Louise Hepp, Paul Bauman, and Paulette Bauman.

Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society or Heartland Hospice.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 pm, Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, O'Fallon.

Funeral: Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am, Monday, December 18, 2017 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 205 Rasp St., Shiloh, Ill., with Msgr. James Margason presiding.
