Marcella "Sally" Elizabeth Alesaski, nee Brendel, age 92, born November 3, 1928 in Mascoutah, Ill., passed away January 5, 2021.
Sally worked many years at the O'Fallon City Cleaners and enjoyed playing cards and bingo and loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals. Sally was never lonely, she was the center of the family, and her house was open to anyone and everyone. She was very close to her grandchildren and never missed an important part of their lives. She was a member of the St. Clare Kitchen Band, the St. Clare Altar Sodality, and O'Fallon Township Seniors. The family extends special thanks to Mercy Rehab & Care Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband Anthony "Tony" Alesaski; her son and daughter-in-law James and Judy Alesaski, parents Jacob and Estella, nee Vogt, Brendel, and sister Jeanette Weekley.
She is survived by her daughter Kathleen (William) Short, son John (Debbie) Alesaski, daughter Susan (Paul) Owens, and sister Cecelia Agne. Also surviving are grandchildren Bryan (Tara) Short, Rebecca (Brad) Thompson, Dana (Joel Rinderer) Alesaski, Megan (Jason) Helldoerfer, Stacey (Paul) Williams, Paul (Tiffany) Owens, and Nicole (Matt) Koetting, 12 great-grandchildren, with the 13

on the way, and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials can be made to Society of St. Vincent de Paul or to donor's choice.

The family will receive friends at 10 am, Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at St. Clare Catholic Church, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am, with Rev. James Deiters presiding.
Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Shiloh, Ill.
