Sandra Lee Glowatski, nee Stevenson, age 70, of O'Fallon, Ill., born October 27, 1941 in Leechburg, Penna., to Thomas and Alda, nee Knepshield, Stevenson, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at St. Louis University Hospital.
Mrs. Glowatski moved to O'Fallon in 1983 when her husband was assigned to Scott AFB. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, and had retired from civil service, where she served as secretary to various commanders of Scott AFB's flying squadrons. She enjoyed the many places the military took them, particularly her 7 years at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. Sandy was gifted at crafting, making the house a warm and loving home, and she had crocheted many keepsakes for family and friends. Her support and love for her husband was evident in their 51 years of marriage. Her dedication to her daughter made her the ultimate mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers Robert "Ron" Stevenson and Daniel Stevenson.
Surviving are her husband Edward Glowatski, of O'Fallon, Ill., whom she married December 26, 1960 in Oakland, Md.; her daughter Robin Glowatski of O'Fallon; her much loved grandchildren, Christopher, Brittany, Kirsten, and Kimberly Lally, and Paige Thomas; her brothers William (Phyllis) Stevenson of Baltimore, Md., Richard (Nancy) Stevenson of Warren, Ohio, and sister Linda (Kenneth) Livengood of Ford City, Penna.
