Sharon Lee Raab, nee Monte, age 73, of Belleville, IL., born December 5, 1949 in East St. Louis, IL., passed away peacefully May 15, 2023 at Willow Creek Rehab & Nursing in Belleville, IL.

Sharon was a long-time employee at St. Elizabeth Hospital where she worked for over 20 years as an administrative clerk. She loved dogs, the beach, The Dave Clark Five, and gooey butter cake.

She was preceded in death by her mother Rita, nee Brinson, Monte; her father John Monte, Sr., her brother John Monte, Jr., and Arsenio the turkey.

She is survived by her only child Becky (Eric) Raab-Bokern of Belleville, IL; granddaughter Sade Bokern; sister-in-law Kathy Monte and her children; sister Sondra Otten; brother Rick Monte; and her aunt Ann Dolanski.

In lieu of flowers, in memory of Sharon, monetary donations may be directed to Belleville Area Humane Society (618-235-3712), or non-monetary items such as dog toys or old blankets to St. Clair County Animal Adoption Center (618-235-0585).
