Sheila D. Domina, nee Stanton, of O'Fallon, Ill., born in Evansville, Ind., passed away Friday, February 27, 2009 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville, Ind. after an extended illness. She was a 1964 graduate of North High School in Evansville, Ind. and attended Western Kentucky University. Sheila was a dedicated military wife and devoted mother.
She was preceded in death by her father Robert Henry Stanton, Sr., and maternal grandparents Russell and Norma Kerwick, all of Evansville, Ind.
She is survived by her loving family, to include her husband James Domina; children Julie (Tom) Huelsing, Jason Domina, and Megan (Tony) Sprouse; four grandchildren Logan, Lauren, Tony, and Madelyn, all of O'Fallon, Ill.; her mother Marjorie Stanton of Evansville, Ind.; her mother-in-law Jennie Domina of Frankfort, N.Y.; four sisters and one brother, Sherrie (Barry) Martens of Overland Park, Kan., Stephany Stanton, Robert (Tracy) Stanton, Jr., Stacy (Don) Gallucci, and Suzette (Robin) Hershman, all of Newburgh, Ind., sister-in-law Bonnie (Edward) Maslow of Little Falls, N.Y.; brother-in-law David Domina of Frankfort, N.Y.; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests Memorial Donations be made to the St. Nicholas Catholic Church Chapter of St. Vincent de Paul Society.
Visitation: Friends may call after 9:00 am, Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at the church.
Funeral: Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church with Msgr. William Hitpas presiding. A luncheon for family and friends will follow the service.
