Stephen Michael Keck, age 49, of O'Fallon, Ill., born November 11, 1965, in St. Louis, Mo., passed away suddenly at his residence on March 16, 2015.
Steve was a 1984 graduate of O'Fallon Township High School. After high school he pursued a career as an ironworker where he had been a member of East St. Louis Ironworkers Local 392 the past 30 yrs.
Steve had a passion for reading and he was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. He loved hanging out with his friends and his love of family ran deep. It was often said of Steve that he never met a stranger. He loved life and lived it to the fullest, and marched to the beat of his own drum.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alexander F. Keck, Jr., paternal grandparents, Alexander F. Keck, Sr., and Hedwig, nee Brewer, Keck, and maternal grandparents William G. and Vesta L., nee Womick, Foley, and his beloved dog Izzy.
He is survived by his mother, Lorraine C., nee Foley, Keck; and his two brothers, Paul G., and Jeffrey A., all of O'Fallon. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and his good buddy Jax.

His cousin Keegan Foley suffers from this rare genetic metabolic disorder and with these donations, the family hopes to bring awareness to this disorder and funding for research. Visitation: Friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 pm, Friday, March 20, 2015 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 625 St. Nicholas Dr., O'Fallon; and from 10:00 – 10:45 am, Saturday, March 21, 2015 at the church.
Funeral: Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Saturday, March 21, 2015 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, O'Fallon, with Rev. William J. Hitpas presiding. Burial will follow at Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, Ill.
