Steven Gerard "Steve" Burroughs, 57, of O'Fallon, Ill.; born on October 12, 1965 in Belleville, Ill. found peace in heaven on Friday, July 28, 2023.

Steve graduated from OTHS in 1983 and finished his education at the St. Louis College of Pharmacy. He enjoyed his time as a pharmacist. He loved sharing his knowledge to help people and interacting with customers. Steve was an avid reader and watched old movies. He loved watching Cardinals baseball with his parents. He enjoyed family gatherings. He was a member of St. Clare Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Steve enjoyed participating in an annual men's retreat and various other church activities.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Burroughs.

Steve is survived by his two children, Joel Burroughs of Edwardsville, Ill. and Gillian (Daniel) Cunningham of Huntsville, Ala.; his mother, Mary Anne Burroughs of O'Fallon, Ill.; four brothers – Christopher (Pat) Burroughs of Meadville, Penn.; Michael (Terri) Burroughs of O'Fallon, Ill.; David (Riann) Burroughs of Greeneville, Tenn., and Matthew Burroughs of O'Fallon, Ill.; two sisters - Mary Beth (Ty) Henson of O'Fallon, Ill., and Joanne (Chad) Reno of O'Fallon, Ill.; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be 4-8 pm, Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at St. Clare Catholic Church, 1411 Cross St., Shiloh., and from 10 – 11 am, Thursday, August 3, 2023 at the church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am, Thursday, at the church, with Fr. James Deiters presiding. Lunch will follow at the church.
