Sybil Mae "Kitty" Sheesley, age 94, of O'Fallon, Ill., formerly of Harrisburg, Pa., born January 25, 1923 in Homer, La., died Sunday morning, February 12, 2017 at University Healthcare Center, Edwardsville, Ill.

Mrs. Sheesley moved to O'Fallon in 2006 to live with her son and his family. While living in Harrisburg, she attended the East Shore Baptist Church. Locally, she enjoyed her friends and activities while attending First Baptist Church O'Fallon. She was a Registered Nurse for over 50 years, providing in-home health care to many people. She loved to read, knit, and work jigsaw puzzles. Sybil enjoyed watching professional football and was a loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Sheesley; her parents Arthur and Connie, nee Jones, Taylor; her sister Edna Combs and brother C.J. Taylor.

Surviving are her son Eric (Karen) Sheesley of O'Fallon, Ill., daughter Sondra (Bob) Tillman of Milford, Mass.; grandchildren Ryan (Lauren) Sheesley, Sarah Sheesley, Zoe Tillman and Aaron Tillman; her beloved great-granddaughter Madison; sister Opal Harrington of Frankston, Tex., brother Arthur R. (Dulene) Taylor of Kevin, Tex., and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations are requested to Hospice of Southern Illinois or Alzheimer's Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 pm, Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, 102 W. Washington St., O'Fallon.

Services are pending with Hoover Funeral Home, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Township, Pa.
