Tequilla L. Maxheimer, age 84, of Lebanon, Ill., formerly of Bingham, Ill., born November 30, 1938 in Springfield, Ill., passed away Saturday morning, December 17, 2022 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Tequilla, better known as "TT," grew up in Petersburg, Ill., where she was an active student and cheerleader in high school. She married her husband Bob in 1961. Although a trained cosmetologist, she, along with her husband Bob, farmed for many years near Lanesville, IL, and later in Bingham, IL, for 30+ years. After their retirement in 2000, they moved to O'Fallon to be near their daughter Tonya and embraced the opportunity of being doting grandparents to Katherine and Matthew. TT never missed the kids' school events, was a supporter of OTHS Band Boosters, and as a great hostess, she seemed like a "grandma" to many of her grandchildren's friends and fellow OTHS Band members. Her sense of humor and funny sayings remained with her even on her worst days. She always looked on the bright side. She enjoyed cooking and gardening, and had been a member of O'Fallon Woman's Club and Enterprise Grange.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Maxheimer; parents Frank Hill and Louise, nee Jones, Watts and her brother John Bernard.

Surviving are her daughter Dr. Tonya (Dan) Bowman of Lebanon, Ill., two grandchildren Katherine (Corey Johnson) Bowman of Delaware, Ohio; Matthew Bowman of St. Louis; and sister Debbie Jordan of Concord,California, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 4 – 7 pm, Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, O'Fallon, Ill.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10 am, Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Ramsey Cemetery, in Ramsey, Ill., with Pastor Vern Lintvedt officiating.
