Timothy H. Barrows, age 91, of O'Fallon, Ill., and long-time resident in Washington, D.C., born December 3, 1931 in Whitefish Bay, Wisc., died September  28, 2023.

Mr. Barrows went to college and became a lifelong architect. He was partner to an architecture firm in Boca Raton, Fla. for many years and served on the municipal planning and zoning board there. Later, he taught architecture at Tuskegee University in Alabama and Catholic University in Washington, D.C. He had earned Professor of the Year and served as Chairman of the Architecture Department at Tuskegee Univ. Tim had served in the US Army from 1955-57.

He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara, nee Roy, Barrows; and parents Hollis and Margaret, nee Reynolds, Barrows.

Memorial donations are suggested to St. Nicholas Catholic Church.

Surviving are his children Alicia (Tom) Scolarici of O'Fallon, Timothy Barrows of Arlington, Va., Peter Barrows of Montgomery, Ala., Christopher (Jen Brooks) Barrows of Arlington, Va.; grandchildren Kristin Alicia, Thomas Anthony, Timothy Joseph, and Michael Jeffrey Scolarici; and Kate and Olivia Brooks-Barrows. Also surviving are twin brothers Thomas (Jan) Barrows and Terrance Barrows.

The family will receive friends after 10 am, Saturday, October 7, 2023 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, O'Fallon, Ill., with Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 11 am, with Fr. Nick Junker presiding. Burial of cremated remains will follow at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Shiloh, Ill.
