Verla L. Zotz

Verla Lorene Zotz (nee Keck), age 85, of Lebanon, born November 3, 1922 in Lebanon, passed away January 1, 2008 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Belleville. Mrs. Zotz was a homemaker and was devoted to helping her husband on the family farm. She was a member of the O'Fallon United Church of Christ. She loved to tell stories and was known to be a good neighbor.

Mrs. Zotz was preceded in death by her husband Leroy M. Zotz, whom she married August 28, 1941 in Sappington, Mo.; and who passed away March 9, 1979; her parents, William and Edna (nee Payer) Keck, her sisters Doris Schildknecht-Sensel and Bernice Ullrich and her son-in-law Ralph Schulte.

She is survived by her son, Clete (Mary Kay) Zotz of Lebanon; her daughter, Darlene Schulte of Lebanon, brother Clifford "Bud" (Janeita) Keck of Lebanon, grandchildren Stephanie (Aaron) Shermann & their daughter Savannah Lynn of Benton, Ill., Brandi (Josh) Richendollar & their children Corey, Andrea, and Elexa of Lebanon; Brett (Tricia) Zotz of Fairview Heights, Lesa Roys & her son Ryan of Lebanon; Stacey (Mike) Countryman & their children Cheyenne, Krislyn, Hayden, and Reegan of Lebanon.

Visitation: Friends may call from 5:00 – 8:00 pm, Thursday, January 3, 2008 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, 102 W. Washington St., O'Fallon, Ill.

Funeral Service: 11:00 am, Friday, January 4, 2008 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Walter Gerth officiating.

Interment will follow at College Hill Cemetery, Lebanon, Illinois
