Obituary
Vernon L. Rea, age 81, formerly of Fairview Heights and Swansea, passed away Sunday evening, February 8, 2009 at Freeburg Care Center, Freeburg, Illinois.
He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II. He owned an auto parts supply shop. Mr. Rea is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Margaret; his son Russell K. Rea; his former daughter-in-law Denise Durako; and two grandsons Brandon and Bradley.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
Mr. Rea requested his body be donated for medical research. No services will be held.
