Obituary

Toribia "Vicky" Ompoy Modio Zeigler of Lebanon, Ill., passed away January 28, 2022 at the age of 73 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in O'Fallon, Ill. She was born March 24, 1948 in the town of Agay-Ay, Cabalion, Southern Leyte, Philippines, to Pedro Modio and Anatalia, nee Ompoy, Modio. She married John M. Zeigler November 9, 1966 in San Antonio, Zambales, Philippines. November 2021 was a celebration of 55 years of marriage together.

Vicky kept herself busy running her business, Westgate Cleaners and Alterations, for almost 30 years. When she wasn't involved with her business she was preparing special meals for her husband to take with him on the road, working in her yard with her flowers or vegetables, spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, planning parties for friends and loved ones, or playing her favorite game, Candy Crush. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed baking. She loved collecting and trying new recipes. She was very generous and always inviting someone to eat at her table and always helping family or friends who needed help.
