Virginia Lee White, age 77, of Caseyville, Ill., born August 27, 1941 in San Diego, Calif., the oldest of five girls, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2019 at her home.

Ginny grew up an Army brat, and settled in the metro-east as a young adult. For a short time, she worked at  KMOV, but soon began her long career with National Steel in Granite City, retiring in the early 1990s. Along with her husband, she enjoyed camping and attending car shows with the Piston Pushers Car Club. Ginny loved her church family at Crossview Church in O'Fallon. She had taught Vacation Bible School  and was eager to share her faith with others. Ginny was always proud of her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence "Sonny" White, and her parents Harry and Virginia, nee Bussard, Nottingham.

Survivors include her sons John (Marcy) Ansley, of Troy, Ill.; Michael (SuEllen) Ansley, of Seattle, Wash.; her grandchildren Megan (Nicholas) Blackwell, Matthew Ansley, Isaac Ansley, Joshua Ansley, and Nathanael Ansley; and she was a beloved Meemaw to great-granddaughters Ansley and Macy. Also surviving are four sisters Jan, Sue, Kathleen, and Denise, nieces and nephews and her much-loved extended White family that she gained through her 30 years of marriage to Sonny.

Memorial donations are suggested to Crossview Church.

Visitation: The family will receive friends at 10:00 am, Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Crossview Church, 915 East Highway 50, O'Fallon, until time of service.

Funeral: A Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 am, Saturday, June 22, 2019 at the church, with Rev. Kent Wilson officiating.
