William Charles Walker, age 80, formerly of O'Fallon, was born November 29, 1942 in East St. Louis, Ill. He passed away November 20, 2023. He grew up at St. John's Orphanage in Shiloh and joined the Army in 1960, serving as a Medical Corpsman until 1963. In 1966, he reenlisted in the Marine Corps. He served in Vietnam as a mortarman, was awarded the Purple Heart Medal, and was honorably discharged in 1968.

Bill attended church and enjoyed studying his Bible.

He was preceded in death by his wife Sharon in 1971; three brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his daughter Nancy; and his friend Rita Conley.

Graveside Service with military honors will be at 10 am, Friday, December 8, 2023 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo.
